Reflections on healing
As an EMDR therapist, I have the privilege of witnessing transformation — sometimes subtle and quiet, other times profoundly life-changing. Each time a client shares their experience of EMDR therapy — the moments of relief, the insights gained, the release of long-held pain — I am reminded why I am so deeply committed to this work.
Hearing clients describe how EMDR has helped them reclaim peace after trauma, reconnect with loved ones, or finally feel safe in their own minds and bodies reaffirms the power of this approach. With every expression of gratitude, I find my own sense of purpose renewed. Their courage, vulnerability, and persistence inspire me to continue growing as a clinician — to keep learning, refining my skills, and expanding my understanding of how healing unfolds.
I am constantly engaged in ongoing training and study, motivated by the trust my clients place in me. Their progress pushes me to ensure that I’m always offering the most informed, compassionate, and effective care possible.
Most of all, I want to express my deepest appreciation for each person who allows me to walk alongside them on their journey. Bearing witness to their stories — and to the strength that emerges through the process — is one of the greatest honors of my professional life. The joy that comes from seeing clients experience healing, self-compassion, and relief is profound and humbling.
To every client who has trusted me with their EMDR journey: thank you. Your courage and resilience are what make this work so meaningful.
